Kira's Story...
Cute little Kira is now home with the perfect Sheltie-experienced family. Mom & dad stocked up on all her favorite treats and are helping her to be comfortable and adjust to her new home. Sheltie brother Robbie is a therapy dog and with him as a mentor, Kira may join him someday visiting seniors and reading with kids. Within a few hours, she made friends with the rescue cats and was accepting pets and cheese from mom and dad. She found a safe place on the couch and settled in for a nap. Kira woofs lots of love to her foster family for helping her learn the world is safe! Adopted 2/21/15.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kira, a Circle Pines Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Circle Pines, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Circle Pines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Circle Pines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Circle Pines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Circle Pines paves the way for another one to be saved.
