Benji - "Bea-Tzu" (Beagle/Shih Tzu)
Benji is a real little character. Affectionate, playful and opinionated, this little guy would be great for an active family or where he has the chance to get out and play.
Benji is a just under a year old and although he is a small dog, he thinks he is much bigger than he is. Not aggressive in any way but definitely trying to be dominant with the other dogs his ramblings mostly go ignored. He is a friendly and playful dog that loves being outside, enjoys playing with toys and would be a favourite at the dog park.
In the house he is a busy guy and wants to know what everyone is doing. He is also a cuddle muffin and would be a good choice for a child's pet. He is sturdy enough to take some rough handling by children and wouldn't be flustered by their fast movements or loud noises. He is a real member of the family and enjoys outings where he can meet new friends and check out all the smells. He is a happy-go-lucky kind of dog that would enjoy being a second dog or would do well on his own with enough interesting things to do.
Benji weighs just over 25 lbs and has an easy to care for coat that is practically non-shedding. When he decides to make his voice known you can hear that he does speak Beaglese and for this reason he would not be suited to apartment living. As well, he really enjoys having a backyard to play in.
