Here's what the humans have to say about me:
STEVIE - Golden mix, male, ~6 years, 55 pounds. Stevie, aka Stevie the Pirate, is blind in one eye. Somehow, that only adds to his charm as he looks like he is constantly winking at you. In the house, he is very mellow and low-key. He gets along perfectly with his female companion. He is content to lay at your feet all day. Stevie is completely potty trained and non-destructive when left out all day unsupervised and at night. He gives gentle kisses and flops over for anyone for a good belly rub. He loves every person he meets - men, women, and children. He LOVES all other dogs whether male or female, large and small. He has done very well with his foster family's older, mellow cat after a proper introduction, but a younger more skittish cat may cause him to chase. He is highly trainable, a fast learner, and very eager to please. Grab a handful of dry dog food and he will work for every last piece of kibble. He loves to please you almost as much as snuggling.
** If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must first complete an adoption application at http://peppertree.org/adoptapp.php. Or visit our site (http://peppertree.org/adoptlist.php) and learn about other Peppertree dogs. *Note: visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
