Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Katniss was named for the lead character in the Hunger Games. Katniss is brave, a survivor and a strong woman. So is our Katniss! She is a long-haired Chihuahua mix about 5-6 yrs. old; she weighs about 8 lbs. She has a misshapen front leg. She was born with a deformity; it was not caused by an injury and she gets along just fine it seems! We rescued her from a terrible hoarding situation. We took twelve dogs out of 40 and other local rescues took the rest of them, including all of Katniss's babies. Yes, another Rescue stepped in and took her puppies and left Katniss behind. She is a loving and gentle soul. Unlike many of the other dogs we took from the same situation, she does not appear to be overly fearful or leery of people. She is sweet, sweet, sweet. Katniss is shy at first but warms up quickly. She loves bones, not crazy about toys and is good with children and dogs.
