Scooby's Story...
Meet Scooby! He is a 1 year old Chihuahua mix looking for his forever home. Scooby is everything you could ask for in a young dog – playful, adventurous, and loving. He adores everyone – adults, kids, and other dogs too! In fact, he would love to have a canine brother or sister. Being a typical young dog, he is still learning proper doggie manners. Scooby is one smart cookie, so it would be great if his new family would enroll him in obedience school or agility – we know he would be the star of the class! And with those gorgeous eyes and goofy antics, he is sure to charm everyone that he meets!
If you would like to meet Scooby please stop by the shelter to meet him.

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby, a Berea Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Berea, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
