Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB June 13, 2013
Tia is a sweet girl with gentle disposition and the tiniest squeak of a meow. She is a curious girl and explores around when the house is quiet checking out all the nooks and crannies. She is slowly getting warmed up to her humans and follows them around the house at times, and enjoys a petting on her own terms. You can usually find Tia chasing around her favourite feather toy or exploring the house. She likes to find new secret napping spots!
This little girl has had a rough life, she was recently rescued from a hoarding situation in Quebec and was transported with 50 of her siblings to Toronto for their second chance at happiness. Although she has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), she is a healthy, happy girl. FIV typically causes a weakening of the cat's immune system, however most FIV cats can live normal, happy lives if provided with a healthy diet and regular veterinary care. They are fine to live with cats who do not have FIV as it is only transferred by blood, for example deep bites.
Tia is ready for her furr-ever home, one with lots of attention, affection and patience. Tia is best-suited to an adult home, or a home with older children due to her quiet nature. She is good with other cats, and may even be fine with a laid-back dog friend. Are you Tia's second chance at a loving family?
To the person/s lucky enough to welcome Tia into their lives, please note that the standard adoption fee for this little girl has been donated by an anonymous gifter. This individual has asked us to include this note from them to explain their reasoning for wishing to help in this manner:
"Meeting and spending time with Tia recently, it was unfathonable to me that a darling little girl as sweet, affectionate, and playful as she is, could find herself without a home to call her own nor a family that loves her. Realizing that her having the colouring of black and being FIV+ would make it further challenging for someone to recognize her for the very special kitty that she is, this donation is to help Tia and her forever family find one another".
