Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB December 1, 2012.
Sweet and beautiful Tabitha was brought to a feral clinic for spaying, hence the ear tip. While recovering there, the staff decided she wasn’t feral, just very, very timid. She was sent to a foster home, where she is slowly blossoming and proving what an affectionate girl she is.
Tabitha is a small, classic tabby with beautiful markings and soft, soft fur. She is very timid, but she’s also very affectionate and allows – and enjoys – being petted even when she’s hiding. Though she spends most of her time in the bed her foster home provided, she explores at night (and plays, if the scattered toys are a hint!) and occasionally comes out for affection. Even though she doesn't seek out affection (yet!), she loves it when you bring it to her: you can even pick her up and cuddle her.
Tabitha has excellent litter box habits. She's also fascinated by the TV – no matter what she's doing, she'll always stop and take a look whenever she passes it. This tiny girl is not particularly food motivated, but she does enjoy a treat now and then... especially if anyone else is getting one!
She absolutely loves other cats and responds best when they are around. In her foster home, she adored and mothered an orphan kitten, and follows and “talks” to the permanent feline residents. She is a very submissive cat that could make friends with just about any other feline – she’d do much better in a home with another cat or two.
Tabitha will require patience to help her come out of her shell, but it will be amazingly rewarding when she does! Her foster mom is already impressed with how affectionate she is, and that will only get stronger.
