Flobee's Story...
Flobee is an 8 month old cutie pie, he is one of the nine dogs we rescued on 1/5/15 from a County open admission/high kill shelter. Flobee is so funny, he loves to play and we think he's really quite young, like 6 months or so. He likes to play with his toys, go for walks and is potty trained. He doesn't like be crated.

All dogs will be vetted, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated before they are adopted out. As soon as I get information on the dogs' personalities from their foster parents I'll edit this description.
Here's what you need to know to adopt a dog from EARS:

EARS is a foster-based, no-kill shelter committed to placing all our dogs in quality forever homes. We require an adoption application/contract and a home visit, (or if you live outside our local area a recommendation from your vet), before we will release an animal. We do not ship or transport animals out side of Charlotte and Sarasota counties.
Healthy dogs and puppy adoption fees are $350.00. This fee supports our spay/neuter campaign, our pet food bank and our cat sanctuary.
An adoption form can be downloaded from our website www.EARSAnimalRescue.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flobee, a Englewood Shiba Inu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in Englewood, or seeking a Shiba Inu puppy from a breeder in Englewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Englewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Englewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Englewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
