Alfalfa's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Alfalfa's Story...
Alfalfa is part of a bonded pair. This is a bonded pair of small white male dogs. One is a poodle mix and the other is a Lhasa Apso. They are both friendly, good with other dogs, cats, kittens and kids. The poodle mix is outgoing - the Lhasa Apso is a little more reserved but still friendly. They're both lap dogs and love to cuddle. If you sit down - they're in your lap! They like to walk on a leash and eat well. They're both about three or four years old and appear to be in good health. The poodle has a cute underbite. The only exception to health is with the Lhasa Apso. He has had about five very minor seizures over a two month period. He stands and stiffens and drools. It seems to last about a minute. Other than that he's active and happy. They are definitely a bonded pair and are very attached to each other. They have both had rabies and a booster shot and are neutered. They will need a good grooming (some grooming has been done but there's more work to do). They are both very nice dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alfalfa, a Lakewood Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise for sale in Lakewood, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Lakewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lakewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lakewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lakewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
