My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Isabelle is a great companion and she is so cute with her one ear and unique coloring! She loves snuggling up, whether it's with us or one of our other dogs. Speaking of which, she gets along great with other dogs. She likes to play with them, but she is also perfectly content taking naps curled next to them. Isabelle has moderate energy, she currently gets enough of it out playing with the other dogs but I am guessing she will love walks as soon as it warms up a little. She is potty trained and will go outside, but her coat is short and she gets pretty chilly and wants to go inside quickly in these temps. Isabelle is an excellent sleeper and she sleeps through the night in our bed (I bet she could learn to enjoy a dog bed too). Isabelle is kenneled during the day when we are at work but doesn't seem interested in chewing things other than toys, so likely would be ok out. She is a great companion and is always willing to curl up next to, behind or on you-she brings us smiles everyday.

Isabelle is estimated to be between 1-2 years old and weighs about 38.5 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed.

All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.

We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday January 10, 2015, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
