Meet Scooter a 36 pound, 8 mth old male Retriever mix (maybe a little bit of Border Collie mixed in).
Scooter was found as a stray by a good samaritan who searched for his owners. When his owner could not be located, the good samaritan contacted Parker Paws to assist in finding him a good home. He is now spending time with his foster family until he is ready for a new family.
Scooter is a sweet, friendly, playful boy who loves people of all ages and playing with other dogs. He is quite interested in cats, so he may not be the right dog for a cat family. His sweet personaility will win you over quickly. He enjoys his outside playtime, but also wants to be indoors with his family. He is almost house-trained and sleeps in his kennel at night. This smart boy even learned to sit in one day and has the natural desire to fetch. Since he is still a pup, he has the need to chew and requires plenty of chew toys to keep him busy. He is working on some of his manners, but should learn the rules quickly.
Scooter is looking for a home with a secure fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play. Another dog as a playmate is also on his wish list. He would love some older children who will play fetch with him. When he gets excited during playtime, he has the tendency to nip at you, so he may not do well with small children until he has learned the correct way to play with them.
Scooter is neutered, microchiped, received all age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm negative and is on flea and heartworm prevention.
His adoption fee is only $75.
