Michael's Story...
Name: Michael
Color: Black and White Tuxedo
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Male
Age: 5 Months
Michael is a fun, somewhat bashful boy looking for a loving forever home. Cats can easily live 15-20 years so he is looking for someone who is prepared to care for him for the duration of his life.
Big fan of: Being such a young boy, Michael is very playful and will need lots of fun toys to play with and daily play time. He would really appreciate a tall cat tree that can provide him with a jungle gym, as well as an appropriate place to stretch and scratch.
Dream Home: Michael would do best going home with one of his siblings but would also excel in a home with a confident feline. Any dogs in Michael's home need to be very mellow and cat-savvy, he is much too scared for a dog that will try to chase after him or be too interested. Michael would also appreciate that any children in his home be over 12 and know to be slow and gentle with him while he adjusts to his new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michael, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
