Here's what the humans have to say about me:
GRETTA HAS AN APPLICATION PENDING!Gretta is a gorgeous 4-5 year old purebred female sable German Shepherd in need of a loving and permanent home. Poor Gretta was abandoned at a kill shelter in Kentucky. Her owner's had purchased her when she was a puppy from a breeder to use a breeding dog for their kennel. When she could not have puppies anymore they dumped her at a shelter. Like most Shepherds, Gretta is a very loyal girl and is very confused and depressed being away from her home. She can be a little timid at first, but she warms up very quickly. She is very gentle, easy-going and affectionate and will make a great family dog. Gretta is generally calm and and mellow, but she does love toys! If she has a fair amount of toys, she'll keep herself occupied for quite a while. She is very well behaved in the home and is trustworthy and not destructive when left alone. She had a hematoma in her one ear, which caused it be disfigured, but it only adds to her character and charm! Gretta is also house trained and knows a few basic commands. She will make one lucky household very happy. Gretta is being fostered with other dogs, but would do best in a home without cats. She was recently heartworm treated and is now happy, healthy and ready for a new home.
• Gretta's adoption donation is $275. This donation helps to cover her spay, initial vaccines, initial worming and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like Gretta from euthanasia.
