Little Howie was rescued by us from a very horrible, high kill Louisiana shelter where he was on the euthanasia list to make space for more dogs. A nice lady pulled him from the shelter for us and we had him completely vetted in Louisiana. We brought him back to Maryland to help him find a forever home where he would never again know abandonment or fear.
Howie is currently living in a foster home with two other adult dogs and 2 puppies and a cat, and is getting along great with everyone! He is a super kissable, friendly little guy who is a great medium size! Howie is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, dewormed and is heartworm negative! He has been on heartworm and flea prevention since he was rescued. Howie has been given a clean bill of health. He is believed to be approximately a year old and weighs about 27 bs. and is pretty much full grown. He walks well on a leash and is beginning to learn basic obedience. And, he is almost completely housebroken already! Very quick learner and eager to please!
Howie's foster mom says: "Howie is a very nice, sweet dog. He loves running around outside with this foster brother and sisters. He had not bothered his feline foster brother at all. He loves to sit beside you on the couch and get his lovins! He would be a great partner for hikes and/or walks. Howie is crate trained and is just about housebroken. Howie weighs about 30 pounds and is most likely full grown as we believe he is about 1 year old. He walks great on a leash too. Howie is a friendly guy looking for his forever home! Please consider adopting this great dog, you won't be disappointed."
Howie's exact breed mix is unknown but he has disctinctive Jack Russell terrier traits along with other terrier traits. He even has a nubby little docked tail! Overall he is cuteness in a small-medium sized package!
