My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm little Ms. Kylie! I am a very sweet 10lb maltese mix who is approximately 10 years old. I have a cute little white face and soft brown hair on my body. I am a very quiet girl who loves food, treats and BELLY RUBS!! I know to go to the door to go outside, and if the weather is bad and you'd like me to stay inside I will happily use a pee pad.

My ideal home is with someone who is around a lot. I love to be near my person, even if it is only to take a nap! I get along great with dogs, but I am more than happy to curl up by myself in the sun and sleep! I am fine around children, but I do not like to be picked up and will cry out if you try! I have come such a long way since I arrived at rescue. I was so scared and shy, and now I am my foster mom's best buddy! The vet thinks I had lots and lots of puppies and was mistreated - if only I could talk I would tell you all about it! It's okay though, I am so happy now!

Kylie would be the perfect companion for someone who works from home, a stay at home mom or someone retired, she is a very low maintenance dog. She is ok with a crate, but would rather curl up beside you on your bed!!!

Kylie came to SDH&H with bilateral cataracts and Mammary Gland Tumors. Kylie was accepted in the Penn Veterinary Medicine Mammary Tumor Study, she will be part of this study and will need to go visit for a check up around every 6 months. These visits will not cost her family anything! Kylie's surgery to remove these tumors went great and she is all healed up and looking great.
