My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue adoptable sweetheart. Beau is a very handsome 6 year old longhaired Brindle dachshund. He ended up at the shelter because his owner was tired of Beau. Negative things were written none of which have been seen in his foster home. Beau is affectionate, likes to play with a human or can be content to play by himself tossing toys around, he is very smart and a quick learner. He is house trained, however, over 5 hours is pushing his timeline. He does not mix well with cats. Beau is leash trained, but, could use some remedial training. He is good on car rides.

Beau's ideal COLORADO home will have a fenced yard and another small dog companion. He would do great in a home with a woman or women. Beau does not like every man he meets. If you have a home that has frequent male visitors he is most likely not going to be the right fit. Beau likes older children, but, due to the visitors that children typically have Beau will not be adopted to a home with any age children.
