Orly's Story...
About Orly

This is Orly's story:

This was found abandoned by the superintendents in my building. When I first took her in, she was extremely shy and was under the bed and wouldn't even eat for the first few days. It took me a while until she finally ate some food but would get scared quickly and hide under the bed.

After a month she finally started to get comfortable, tried to explore the apartment but wasn't too sure about Muffin (the other cat ) she would hiss at him and run back to the room.

It took her a few months to finally feel at home, now she plays with Muffin but sometimes they fight, she is a princess , she doesn't like to play rough.

She is a very loving cat, she likes to be on the couch when I'm watching t.v At night she sleeps on my pillow close to my head and in the morning when its time to eat, she will wake me up by chewing my hair.

She loves food, she will finish Muffin's food if left unattended. She loves to be petted and would rather not be picked up.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Orly, a Burlington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Burlington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
