Yoda's Story...
About Yoda

Yoda found herself at our local Animal Control where she remained in a cage for over 3 months. The staff was hoping that some rescue group would notice this sweet girl and give her a second chance. A new foster home noticed and wanted desperately to help her.

This is what her foster mom has to say "Yoda is adjusting very well, socializing with the other cats. She's very playful and loves to be cuddled. She's the perfect lap cat. She'll sit with you all day if you let her.

She's still timid of strangers and my 2 youngest kids. I'd say she's best suited in a home with kids older than 10. I do think though if given enough time here she will come around/warm up to small kids. She does not like loud sounds of any kind. My other cats don't care when I vacuum or listen to music but Yoda will hide under a bed when there are loud sounds. She's a real sweety. I can't believe she spent 3 months in a cage. Poor thing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yoda, a Burlington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Burlington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
