Finnigan's Story...
Finnigan is being fostered in Birmingham, al. He is a 70 lb, one year old sweet, goofy baby! He loves to fetch, play tug and go on walks. He would be a great running partner, as he has lots of energy and puppy exuberance. Finn does get very excited and can be unaware of his size and strength, so homes without small children would be best as he may knock them over. He loves everyone and is really very much a people dog and always wants to be near his person. He would do well with a doggie companion, but really loves people most. He is 100% house trained and learning to enjoy his crate. He loves toys and carries one around almost all the time. It's adorable!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finnigan, a Homewood Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
