Fiona
Available: est 1/17/15

Meet Fiona, a 9 lb, 1 1/2 year old female Chihuahua/Dachshund (Chiweenie)mix.
Fiona was rescued from a local animal shelter to help them make room for more animals coming in. She is now spending time with her foster mom until she is ready to go to her new forever family.

Fiona is a friendly, outgoing lap dog, who loves to snuggle up with you in a warm blanket. She loves people of all ages, gets along really well with other dogs. In fact, her favorite past time is giving kisses to them. She ignores the resident cat, prefers to give them their space. She walks well on a leash for a small dog, so taking walks with her human would be a welcome exercise for her, not to mention social time with her humans.

Fiona is looking for a home where she will be inside most of the time but have some playtime outside with a doggy playmate. She would make a good apartment dog or a travel companion in an RV.

Fiona is spayed, microchipped, received all age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm negative and is on flea and heartworm prevention.

Her adoption fee is only $75.
Donations help us to keep our adoption fees low and allows us to help more animals in need.

If you are interested in giving Fiona a forever home, please visit our webpage at www.parkerpaws.org and complete an adoption application.

Thank you for adopting a rescue pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Weatherford Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
