Meet Frankie, a handsome tri-color long hair Chihuahua with matching black spots on his front legs with the calmest, sweetest personality around!

CRT pulled Frankie from the shelter after they called us to come and rescue him. He was picked up as an injured stray and needed medical attention as soon as possible. From the moment we picked him up, he was as sweet as could be, even with the horrible pain he was in from what ended up being a broken hip. We'll never know how Frankie broke his hip, but after six weeks of crate rest, nutritious food and lots of love, Frankie is ready for adoption! Our vet says it will take a full year for Frankie's hip to fully heal. He is still a little stiff in his rear left leg (he gets supplements to help with that), but the vet has given the okay for Frankie to go on walks. And Frankie LOVES to go on walks! He is great on a harness and leash and walks well with his foster siblings.

Frankie gets along great with all his foster siblings and the other small dogs that he has met. He loves to share his kennel with one of his foster brothers when his foster Mom is at work. Sometimes he complains about being kenneled, but settles down quickly. Frankie is also fed in his kennel and runs right in there at meal time.

Frankie would love to spend his whole day in your lap under a blanket or nap with his head on your chest. He doesn't bark much, but will join in for a few barks when his foster siblings are barking, and occasionally will let out the cutest little howl if he hears a siren near by. Frankie is also very smart. He is house broken and is pee pee pad trained.

When it's bedtime, Frankie gets very excited about going upstairs to sleep with his foster Mom. He waits, tail wagging, at the bottom of the stairs for her to carry him upstairs to the bed, where he quickly gets busy arranging the covers just right.

Frankie would prefer an all adult home with another small dog to keep him company and play with.

Frankie is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. on heartworm prevention and recently had his teeth cleaned. He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
