Macy's Story...
I thought I found my forever home on Christmas morning until I was turned in to a high kill shelter a few days later through no fault of my own. My name is Macy and I am a spunky 10 week old kitten. I am a typical energetic kitten so I love to play and wrestle but want a lap to cuddle in afterwards. I love to snuggle with the other cats I live with but I have never been around dogs. I am young enough that with a little bit of time and a slow introduction I should be fine. I would love to find a home that would never turn me in to a scary shelter for any reason. Won’t you give me the forever home I deserve?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
