My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

REID is a 1 1/2 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 61 pounds. He enjoys being petted and scratched and gives kisses for belly rubs. Someone worked with him as he knows sit, down, come, & crawl. He likes to retrieve and has a ball playing with a Wubba which he will retrieve then toss in the air so he catch it again. Reid needs more training as he still jumps up even though he tries to stop himself and is a bit mouthy but putting a toy in his mouth stops that. He would do best with an experienced owner and needs a family that will give him training and that has a fenced yard to let him play in. Reid is good with other dogs - pulls on the lead so will need an easy walk harness. Reid approved for kids aged 10+.

Update (9/7): Reid is excited that football has started!!! He is supporting his foster family's favorite team! When not watching football, Reid loves playing with the resident dog in his foster home. His foster mom takes him on play dates with many other dogs and does great! He has dreams of finding a family with a big yard for me to run. Do dreams come true?

Update (8/16): Reid is doing great! He loves walks and will sit nicely and wait to have his easy walk harness put on. He is great with other dogs and barks at cats. He loves toys and going to the dog park. He is super sweet and always cuddles. He comes when called and knows some tricks. He is still learning not to take items that are not his and he is also learning how to act when he is excited. He needs a home where the person will continue with his training and give him the love and attention he deserves.

Update (8/02): Reid is settling into his foster home very well. He listens more and is also more calm. He does like to chew so it's good to have lots of toys and appropriate chew bones for him. He was very skinny but he is gaining the weight back. He sleeps on the floor at night in a closed room away from temptations, but goes in his crate during the day. He is great with all dogs. He still pulls on a leash but is responding well to the easy walk harness. He is super sweet and loves to give kisses and play with toys.
.
Update (7/18) Reid is an young energetic pup who enjoys being petted and belly rubs. Loves attention and thinks he should be a LapLab and wants to sit on your lap and cuddle. He knows sit, down, off, and come. responds well to me whistling. Likes to retrieve, loves rubber toys and will often toss his own toy in the air and catch it again. Once in a while he will jump up even though he tries to stop himself. He would love to go live with a family that has a yard and will take him to training with them. He is great with other dogs but thinks real small dogs are like cats and he should chase them. Pulls a little bit but is overall great on a leash with an Easy Walk Harness. Crate trained and house trained. .

Update (2/20): Reid is doing great and we see improvements each day. He is still a little mouthy when he gets excited when playing but can be easily redirected. He is a little mischievous and tends to take socks and other items left on the floor. He is a very sweet dog that loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is GREAT with other dogs and is very happy to be with anyone who will love him. He loves toys and going for walks. Reid does best with a Easy Walk harness for walks.
