Piper's Story...
Hi I’m Piper! I’m a sweet happy girl that would love a FORever home that gives me lots of bones! Bones are my favorite. I also love people and being scratched; I’ll stand there and let you pet me as long as you want! My foster mommy says I’m an easy dog. I think that’s because I’m housetrained, crate trained and very well behaved in the house. I sleep quietly on the floor at night, and I settle down during the day and just enjoy being with you. Outside, I like fetching! I also love walks and I’m working on my leash manners. I ride well in a car and I play well at the dog park. I currently share my home with doggie brothers and sisters and I would love a doggie playmate in my FORever home. I don’t care about cats so I could share my home with them too. I’m about 45-50 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines, on heartworm and flea preventative, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Huntsville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
