Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB December 24, 2009.
Sweetie is a very sweet and lovey cat. She is an independent kitty who likes to have "Sweetie time" and will seek out love and attention from you. Sweetie is very chatty when she is looking for you to give her pets and rubs.
She does have Feline cerebellar hypoplasia which is a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that results in poor walking and balance - she is a "wobble cat". It effects her ability to control fine motor skills and coordination. Cats with her condition are great climbers due to the inability to jump. She is able to climb off and on the bed, and the couch - once she is on the bed or couch she loves to cuddle! She stills plays and roll around like any other kitty.
Sweetie is in no pain or discomfort, and requires no medication - she just has a hard time walking and balancing, but it is unsure how she will do with stairs. She also requires a low litter box. Food and water on a higher level then the floor is also helpful for Sweetie.
There are lots of benefits to adopting a kitty like her. She can't jump on the table or counters. It's interesting watching her adapt to her surroundings - she is very resourceful. She doesn't know she is any different then other cats. She was surrendered by her owner to Toronto Cat Rescue. If you have a lot of love and care to give to a kitty then Sweetie is the kitty for you.
