Meet Daphne! This beautiful pup was taken in by a family who cares for dogs when they saw her being given away at 6 weeks old in the Walmart parking lot. She is now 6 months old and ready to find her forever family. She is obviously a lot of golden but the light colored eyes are supposedly from being mixed with weimaraner. Here is what her foster mom says about her:
Daphne is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. Her tail is always wagging and she is very curious. She loves to play! Takes all of the toys out of the basket multiple times a day. She is potty trained and is doing well with the crate (only whimpers when first put in there, but sleeps through the night in it). She is definitely still a puppy and I've caught her trying to chew on dog beds, pillows, etc, but she responds well to correction. Still needs work on basic manners, but she is already jumping on the couch less and is responding to "off". Would do great in a home with another active dog. Probably should not go to a home with an older dog because she does play rough and she is persistent. She might not be great with little kids because she has no concept of personal space and would easily knock them down.
If you are interested in this gorgeous baby girl, please go to our website for adoption info and to apply. She will go fast!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daphne, a Chattanooga Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
