My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Pending: This sweet boy had his heartworm treatment and then had complications afterwards that turned his world upside down. It has been a long, hard recovery for this sweet, wonderful cocker boy but he is getting healthier and stronger......and ready to go home with an owner who met him, loved him and has been willing to wait for him to get better each day. Rudy will probably be going to his new home in just a few weeks.

Hi there..........My name is Rudy Rudolph. I am a sweet black cocker boy about 1 to 2 years old and still showing puppy traits. I am a smaller male cocker, very friendly and outgoing........and I can be so cute, it will make you smile! I came to rescue from a SC shelter where I spent two weeks waiting for my owners to reclaim me. They finally did show up, but signed me over to the shelter and left without saying goodbye. I am such a nice boy, a wonderful, caring shelter volunteer drove me all the way to Kannapolis to the CCR vet, so that I could have a better life and find a great home. I tested as heartworm positive, so I needed heartworm treatment before I could be adopted.

I have just been neutered, updated on shots and I was groomed at the shelter before I got here as I had 4 inches of horrible mats and they wanted me to be more comfortable. I am now micro-chipped, as my family allowed me to just roam freely and that's how I ended up in animal control. I need to be placed into a home with a securely fenced backyard, and with someone who can take me for daily walks on a leash and spend quality time with me too. I love to play, I like attention and love and I would love to be your sweet baby boy. Fill out an application, get approved and come to meet me. I'd love to have a great family to spend life with and have my 2nd chance to be loved, cared for and just be your wonderful, sweet companion and best friend.

I will not be ready for a home until sometime the end of March as long as my recovery goes well. I got my heartworm treatment done and then had complications, so I've had a hard couple of weeks to recover and get well. This rescue is accepting applications for me, you would just have to wait to take me home until after my recovery from heartworm treatment. I appreciate your kindness and thank you for caring about me!

If you are interested in adopting this cocker boy, he needed heartworm treatment done had complications and then a long recovery to get stronger and well enough to go to a home.. You can get approved by sending an email message to: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300, which includes all of the vetting for this dog while in our care.
