My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I may look like a mature guy but, my heart is youthful! I still look for mischief.

Due to some missing teeth, Fenway's tongue hangs out the side of his face ready for kisses. He gets so excited when he is rubbed on his chest or behind his ears, his remaining teeth will chatter with excitement. After a few minutes he calms down with soft tones and quiet speaking. His superpower- turning into a furry peacock - giving crazy body wiggles to new friends. He loves social visits and has really taken to Foster Grandma coming over. He is shy at first...the first few minutes of any visit he will go somewhere quiet then come out when he is ready. He seems well suited for an older family, loving the quiet activity of that type of home. Fenway gets nervous with the high activity of small children so, would do best with children over the age of 10. If the house gets too busy, he finds comfort snuggling in his blanket in his crate. He prefers to lay quietly with a toy or bone than to run around. He walks well on a leash.

Fenway knows to “sit” prior to a meal and wait to be released for eating. The same with a treat. The dogs in his foster home are trained to do this and he seems to know exactly what it means. He is very smart and once he “figures” something out you do have to watch him closely to ensure his safety and well being. Example – he learned the cats eat up and devised a plan to get on the counter where their food is. After he learned the food was moved, he no longer tries to climb up.

Fenway enjoys the companionship of other animals especially at night to cuddle. He would do fine as an only dog but, a household that has another small to medium dog would be a nice companion. He is very bonded with his foster brother, a small corgi mix. He is also doing well in his foster home that includes cats, rabbits, and chickens! He likes to groom his fellow fur friends so a calm dog that could appreciate a luxurious bath would be awesome!

Fenway is a male/n Boston Terrier born ~2009/2010. Fenway is crate trained up to six hours.
