Benji's Story...
This cutie is Benji. He is a sweet old guy that got separated from his owner when she was placed in retirement facility. Benji was a little confused at first but has settled in nicely and loves human attention. Benji has cataracts so he doesn't see very well and is mostly blind. It doesn't slow him down though and he gets around really well. Benji would love to find a home where he can retire and get some love from his family. Is that family yours? Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Each dog in our rescue is in a loving foster home, where they can grow, play, and recover from their time spent on the streets or in a shelter. If you'd like to meet an adoptable dog, please fill out an application on our website, www.everydogcountsrescue.us. Because we are a foster home based rescue a completed adoption application is required to meet our adoptable dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benji, a Indianapolis Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
