Otter's Story...
Otter is a short-legged little love bug! This guy and his sister Mink were orphaned when their mother was hit by a car. These little sweeties were then being given away at two weeks old! We happened to have nursing mother whose puppies had just been adopted so she "adopted" these guys! Otter and Mink and both very social and love to play. They have been raised with other dogs and do fine with them. They are in foster care in West TN and will be transported once an adoption is finalized. If you'd like to adopt one of our dogs please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and download an app (under the Adoptable Dogs tab) and email it back to us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otter, a Southington Corgi/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Dachshund for sale in Southington, or seeking a Corgi/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Dachshund breeders who help with Corgi/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
