My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yoshi is a sweet 3 year old red Shiba Inu, who is back in rescue due to sad circumstances with his family breaking up. He was just 11 months old when first adopted by a couple who loved him very much for the past 2 years, taking him to training classes and even a GROWL class to learn to communicate better with other dogs; he got the best toys and went on fun adventures. He is now back with DCSIR, sad but hoping to find a forever home. He is good with most dogs if properly introduced by savvy dog people who understand dog body language so they can make sure he feels safe. He especially loves to play with very friendly female dogs; some cats may be OK, but no children, please. DC SIR would really like for him to go to a home with another friendly dog & a family who understands the fundamentals of force free training so he can continue to make progress with other dogs. Yoshi would do best in a home in the suburbs because the city streets can be too stressful.
