Jack's Story...
Here's a not-so-funny story: Jack and his brother Benny were dumped in the woods on someone's property in Arkansas and left to fend for themselves! Lucky for them the property owner spotted them right away, got them vet care and food and now they're ready to find homes! These boys are healthy, happy 9-10 week old boys who look like they're going to be big, so please make sure you like big dogs!! Jack is definitely all boy! If you have room in your home and your heart for a big teddy bear please email homesweethomerescue@yahoo.com for an application. Full vetting AND transport included in $300 adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Westport Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Westport, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
