Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Alice! Alice is a special girl who deserves a great home. Alice was dumped at a high kill shelter when she was very pregnant, along with her pregnant sister (Kimberly who is also available for adoption) and Annie (who recently went to her new home). When Circle of Hope got word, we got there ASAP to save all of them. By the time we arrived, both mamas had given birth. Lucky for them, the mamas and pups didn't have to spend more than a few days there. One of our volunteers took them all home and has been caring for them ever since.
When Alice could no longer nurse her babies, she allowed her sister to take over feeding duties. Alice was never far away though, and the two sisters raised their pups together. Their other sister helped keep an eye on the puppies as they grew, making sure they stayed out of trouble. All of the puppies have found their homes and are doing great, but Alice is and Kimberly are still waiting for their family to find them.
Alice has just recently traveled to a foster home in the northeast and is doing great. She loves the other dogs in the home, is great with the kids, is doing fine in crate, has not had an accident yet, does well on the leash (although if a squirrel is spotted hold tight) and just seems to love the life of a family companion. She seems to actually be smiling much of the time. She's always up for chasing a ball in the yard or any activity that is available, but will also happily snuggle up next to you or on her dog bed. She is one of those dogs that would fit in almost anywhere. The only home that would not be good we believe is one with cats. She was around them in Tennessee and enjoyed chasing them too much. Any home with cats we would suggest looking at some of our other available dogs.
Alice is up to date on all of her veterinary needs and has been spayed. If you would like to learn more about Alice just let us know!
We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, and transport up to the Northeast.***
