Ranger is a 5-6 month old puppy who was rescued by DDR when his owner had to move and could not take Ranger with him. He came to us with his ears already cropped. He is very confident and social with all people, including young children. He is a puppy with manners! He is also super social with dogs, all ages and sizes. If you are looking for a dog that likes to play, is secure, knows when to back off, Ranger would be a good dog for you to adopt. Clearly, his owner put a lot of time into him, since he was already crate-trained, walks on a leash, and does not have many of the puppy habits like grabbing and jumping. He already knows the command “off” and “drop it.” Ranger has been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. While we have not formally cat tested Ranger, we are confident to write that because he is young and connected to people, a real pleaser, he would be fine with cats in a home. He lacks the “high prey drive” that some dogs his age already demonstrate. He is currently about 48 lbs. at 5-6 months so we tend to believe that he will grow more and be a larger dog.
