I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Gamay's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Gamay's Story...
Big fan of: Gamay loves playing with toys and is very food-motivated! She loves people, especially women, and is very athletic. Gamay would make a great running buddy and is also a fan of interactive toys and training sessions.

Not a fan of: Being alone. Gamay loves people and needs some help adjusting to time on her own. She also can be nervous around men she doesn’t know.

A little more: Gamay came to PAWS in November when she was transferred from another shelter. She spent some time in a foster home where we learned a lot of helpful information about her needs and personality. She is a very smart, active girl who is hoping to find adopters who will keep her mentally engaged. She also loves to play and will keep you laughing with her puppy antics.

Dream home: Gamay is looking for an adults-only home at this point in her training, where she will be able to continue with obedience classes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gamay, a Chicago Mountain Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Mountain Cur dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur breeders who help with Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
