Calvin's Story...
Looking for some fun and adventure? Calvin and Hobbes are your guys! Like their comic namesakes, this dynamic duo of brothers are sure to make you smile.

Calvin's life philosophy is to embrace adventure with gusto. He confidently approaches everyone he meets with kisses. He insists on being the center of attention and cuddling in his foster mom's lap. His favorite hobby is playing with any type of toy or a game of tag with his brother, Hobbes.

Hobbes follows Calvin's lead and is the perfect sidekick for him. His favorite pastime is wrestling with Calvin or jumping around the cat tower in his foster home. When he takes a break from playing, he loves to quietly sit beside you or rub against your leg for petting while purring non-stop.

Calvin and Hobbes were born in approximately April 2014. They were orphaned at just 3 weeks of age and raised by their foster family to be good family companions. They are litter box and scratch post trained and accept nail trimming. They get along with other cats, friendly dogs, and children over the age of 6 when properly introduced. They seek an indoor home where they will not be declawed.

All of our animal companions are in foster homes, so visits are arranged with the foster family. To set up a time to meet one of our animal companions, we must first have a completed application on file.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Steilacoom Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Steilacoom, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Steilacoom.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Steilacoom already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Steilacoom breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Steilacoom paves the way for another one to be saved.
