Sandy IV's Story...
Hello there! I’m Sandy and I am 8 years old and weigh 68 pounds. I was surrendered to my vet by my family. I thought I had done something wrong and was heartbroken when they drove off. I kept thinking they were coming back and every time I heard a car I hoped it was my family. I finally realized it was not going to happen. Everyone says, I am gentle and easy going and I even know a few tricks like sit and shake. I am also housetrained and I come when you call me. I like everyone including adults, kids, dogs and cats. I also love being petted and stroked. I am in pretty good health. AGB is just getting my teeth cleaned nice and removing a pesky old mole for me, but other than that I don’t have any issues. I am ready to get on with the next adventure of my life. If you are in need of a sweet, loving, loyal best friend, I’m your girl! Just contact my friends at AGB and ask for me, lovingly Sandy IV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy IV, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
