Jessie's Story...
Jessie
Available 1/24/15

Meet Jessie, a 6 pound, 3 year old female Chihuahua mix. Gypsy was rescued from a local animal shelter.
Gypsy wants to be a full-time lap dog, but also enjoys playing with other dogs. Like most small dogs, she thinks she's bigger than she is and tries to play with the big dogs. She's a quiet, friendly girl and would do great in a house or apartment. She'll require frequent walks to get the exercise she'll need. Due to her small size, she will require supervision when outside in a yard. There aren't any cats in her foster home, so we are unsure how she will be with them.

Jessie is looking for a home with adults only or older children. She may enjoy another dog to play with, but may also prefer to be an only dog getting all of the attention. Frequent walks or supervised yard time will keep her happy. She is an inside only dog.

Jessie is heartworm negative, is on flea and heartworm prevention. She is awaiting her spay, vaccinations and microchip.

Jessie's adoption fee is only $75.
Donations help us to keep our adoption fees low and allows us to help more animals in need.

Thank you for adopting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessie, a Weatherford Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
