My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Patty! It's nice to meet you! Let me tell you a little bit more about myself so we can get to know each other better.

My name is Patty and I am a 7-8 year old female Poodle who is looking for a loving fur-ever home. I am a sweet and loving little lady who can be a bit shy at first when I meet new people, but with a little patience I learn to trust kind hearted people pretty quickly. I am looking for a loving home with an owner who is home often and will let me sit on their lap and gently pet me. I like going for short walks, and would love to spend time napping in the sunshine on the back deck with you or snuggling as you read a book.

I am blind in one eye but don't let that stop you from thinking about adding me to your family!! I get around just fine - even better than some of these pups who have two good eyes! :-) The doggy doctor says I was probably born this way and that there isn't any pain or treatment for my eye. Because I can be a bit shy with new people I am looking for a home with older children over the age of 10 and am looking for a calm and loving home. I would love a fenced yard but would be OK in a home that didn't have a fenced yard but would take me on several short walks throughout the day. I do well with other dogs if they are gentle and mellow - super hyper, energetic, pushy, and dominant dogs overwhelm me so a home with a calm to medium energy K-9 friend would be best.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.

While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
