Here's what the humans have to say about me:
In the early spring of 2013 ‘ANGEL’ was picked up by Fort Worth Animal Control, frightened, covered in scars and having a misshapen skull from beatings, a battered pelvis and ears which had been brutally cut with crude kitchen scissors, a broken tail, a broken leg, pregnant and ready to give birth at any moment. A black broken pregnant dog, her chances at life were standing at less than one (1%) percent at best. Angel whelped a litter on the slick cold floor of the shelter without help or comfort in the midst of too many dogs already forgotten and facing possible extermination. Her situation went from bad to worse when she was taken from the shelter to a hoarding situation out of state. But through hard work and with the help of Fort Worth Animal Control Angel made it back to Heart to Heart rescue. Unfortunately the puppies did not make it but Angel's battle for life continued. Through it all she was a loving caring gentle soul that just wanted to please her humans. The vets were unable to save her leg, but she has learned to walk on three legs, been treated for the heartworms, spayed and is ready for her forever home. Angel is house trained, crate trained and approximately 50-55 pounds. She has been heartworm free since October 2013 and has been on heartworm preventive. We are seeking a quiet and settled environment with a loving family where she can comfortably live out her life in its entirety loved and spoiled and appreciated.
She does okay with other dogs but will do best in a home with only one dog or no other dogs If you believe you might be the home destined for this amazing dog, please contact Deborah Danilow at debdanilow@sbcglobal.net.
