Pipes's Story...
Pipes #2337 is a cute little 3-year-old male, Maltese mix. He is shy and timid at first, but that is to be expected as he comes from a hoarding situation. He loves to be held and will snuggle with you the whole time! Pipes plays well with other dogs. He would do best in a home without small children; he still need some work with socialization. He is full grown; he weighs just over 6 pounds. We believe you can always teach an old dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.htmland return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pipes, a Waldorf Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Maltese puppy from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
