Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am a 2-year-old neutered male Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle mix. I weigh about 20 pounds.
Lovable is definitely a word I would use to describe myself. I'm such a sweet, gentle guy that it would be hard for you to resist me. If you want a dog that enjoys the company of people, then adopt me now! Belly rubs, pats on the head, and a good scratch behind the ear are some of my favorite things to ask for from my human companions. Do you have a hand to spare? It's just not the same when I try to do it myself.
My favorite game is catch! Saying that I am obsessed with balls would be an understatement. It's not uncommon for my human friends to find me dozing off with a ball in my mouth. Yes, it happens!
Oh! I've told you that I like people, but I haven't mentioned that I really like other dogs, too! What can I say? I'm a social guy! If you've got a buddy at home already, I'd be excited to meet him.
Let me tell you a short story about a young man and how he ended up needing a forever home. This young guy had been living on the streets in a rough part of LA. South Central to be exact. One day, while he was looking for scraps, someone scooped him up and took him to a local high-kill shelter.
When the locals started to tell him horror stories about what had happened to some of their friends, he began to fear for his life. Wouldn't you?!
Every pup who enters the shelter system has to be checked by the staff vet. Upon examination, it was determined that he had a very slight heart murmur. He thought for sure he was doomed. Who would want a guy like him?
As luck would have it, the staff fell in love with him and decided to neuter him despite not having a home lined up. A practice saved for only the very best pups!
6 days later he got the best news of his life - CageFree wanted to open their doors to him. And, off he went with a smile on his face and a wagging tail!
And that folks, is the story of how I, the pup from the streets, wound up here.
Now that you know a little about me and my past, won't you contact CageFree and tell them you want to come meet me? I'm just dying to meet you!
