Maddie is a lovely pet. She is well behaved, knows all of her basic commands, is sweet and friendly with everyone and is a joy to have as a companion. She would be a great choice for a first time dog owner or for anyone that is looking for a laid back, friendly and obedient pet. She just lives to be loved. Maddie would do well in just about any situation and would make a wonderful addition to any family. Maddie is approximately 6 years old and currently weighs 41 lbs.
Here is what her foster family had to say:
Maddie is very smart and extremely well trained. She loves being outside and playing in the yard as well as walks but when she is inside she is calm and relaxed. Maddie is very healthy, active, and happy. She loves everyone she meets and is a sweet, gentle little lady. She is very social with everyone. I have not had the opportunity to have her around children but I believe she would be great with children as she is pretty much the perfect dog. She is great with both the dog and cat in her foster home.
Maddie is a quiet dog and extremely well behaved in the home. She doesn't do any counter surfing or chewing on anything she shouldn't. She is very responsive to her people and is always doing her best to please you. She knows all of her basic commands such as Sit, Come, Down, Off, Paw, Up, No, Leave it and she can even catch treats :) She is fully house trained and has never had an accident. She is crate trained but there is no reason to ever need a crate with this girl. She can be totally trusted to be free in the home at any time. She is fully leash trained and walks perfectly on leash. She is great in the car and travels well. Maddie is just an all around perfect girl! She is always where she should be doing exactly what she should be doing. Obviously she was someone's loved pet prior to her being put in a shelter. I would think that it is likely her owner passed or some other tragedy and there was no one to take care of her because there is no way anyone would be willing to give up this girl if they could help it.
Maddie is a beautiful, healthy and amazing dog. She loves to play in the yard and is so loving. She is a perfect companion and a wonderful friend. She would do well in any situation where she was loved and cared for.
