Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sophie is a 8 year old female chihuahua who was surrendered to animal control because her owners could no longer care for her. She takes time to warm up to new people and will growl at new people initially, but she is a sweet girl once she is comfortable. She loves getting pet and snuggling with you on the couch, but does not like getting picked up. She gets along with other dogs and is quiet in the home. She has very long, thin legs and her new owners should be careful with her jumping off of furniture to prevent any injuries. Sophie had experienced a couple of seizures in the past and was started on phenobarbital. This medication has proven to be effective at preventing any more seizures and therefore, she will need to be maintained on this med. She will need routine bloodwork to monitor her dosage and her liver function. Sophie's adoption fee of $175 goes towards the cost of her vetting.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested ( as appropriate), fecal tested, and microchipped.
