My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! Our names are El and Napoleon. We are a pair of bonded cockatiels and brand new to FPR! We were not handled very much before coming into the rescue, so we are a little timid when humans reach into our cage. However, our foster mom is teaching us that humans can be fun – and they give the BEST head scritches! El (yellow) loves to whistle in the morning and will say “What cha doing?”, “Good morning!”, “Good birdie”, and a bunch of other chatter that our foster home hasn’t quite figured out yet. While El is a little more independent, I (Napoleon) am a little more insecure and very reliant on El’s companionship. Even still, our foster home thinks I will end up being the affectionate one because I loves to give kisses, scritches, and I like to inspect your body for jewelry. We are still adjusting to this stuff called “chop” and these weird “pellet” thingies. We were used to an all seed diet, so we are learning to try new things! I did came into the rescue with an infection, so we’re not quite ready for adoption yet, I have to finish my meds first, but you can still go ahead and put an application in on us! We will update you all on our progress as I get better. Oh, and thank you again to Theresa Packard for the cage, toys, and food! We are loving all our new stuff!
