Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Roxy was an owner surrender to an ACO in central Maine. The owner was planning to shoot her because she is naughty with the chickens so thank goodness the ACO was able to talk him out of the dog. We were told she is a lab-airedale mix and she sheds very little. She is about 60 lbs. She was living only partially indoors and was crated any time she was alone indoors. Roxy is 6 years old. We don’t know much about her behavior with other dogs but she chases cats and small animals so most likely needs a home without feline friends. Roxy is not a big barker, just as an alert when someone comes in the driveway.
Roxy loves to have human visitors. She will jump for joy until you tell her “down” and hold your hand up, and she will be more polite. She might bowl a small child over but wouldn’t hurt them on purpose. She likes to run and play, and to chase sticks. On a leash she tends to pull but is easily corrected by you stopping to wait, and then will heel nicely.
Roxy is currently in boarding and is a big happy girl who is full of energy. We’d like to pull her out of there so she can run and play and we can learn more about her. She likes to chew and loves chew toys or bones.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
