Meet Maynard, a 14 pound, 2 year old male Dachshund.
Maynard was surrendered to Parker Paws when his owner had to move and couldn't take him with her. He is now spending time with his foster family so they can get to know him better and work on his leash training.

Maynard is an affectionate, loving, playful boy with the energy of a puppy. He is good with people of all ages including children, gets along with other dogs and cats He is crate trained, house trained and rides well in a car.

Maynard is looking for a home with a fenced yard to allow him room to run and deplete some of his puppy like energy. He also requires a doggy playmate as part of his new family. Plenty of raw hide chews are also on his list of wants.

Maynard is neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is on flea and heartworm prevention.
As a pup, Maynard was diagnosed with a heart murmur which will require monitoring as he ages. He has been under the care of a veterinarian who states it remains unchanged at this time and is otherwise a healthy dog.

His adoption fee is only $75.
