Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB: June 26, 2014
Alistair is a frisky older kitten who loves to play. He's still a bit skittish and can be aloof around people, but he enjoys being petted and is often quite affectionate. He's settling into a sweet, funny cat.
Hunting is Alistair's specialty. He sets up hoards of toys, from which he'll drag out a favourite when it's time to play. He's great at amusing himself! He's also a curious boy and will follow your comings and goings. Even though he's still a bit shy, when he sees our other foster kitten getting petted, soon enough up will come Alistair, demanding his turn.
Alistair has a slight deformity of the L7 vertebra. He's fully healthy, but this means his gait is a bit unsteady on his back legs. Carpeted floors would be best, as he can slip on hardwood or tile.
Alistair was a bit older when he was rescued, so it will take some patience and gentle encouragement to make him comfortable and bring out the friendly kitty inside. He would do best in a quiet, stable home.
Alistair can also be a bit tricky around other cats, although he is currently living with other cats and doing fine, but perhaps he might also do well as an only cat.
It's been wonderful to see Alistair go from being a scared, sick stray to an affectionate, bright-eyed hunter. At first, we weren't even sure if he could walk - and now he tears around the place all day long! With a little patience and love (and lots of toys), we're sure this silly guy will give you lots of love in return.
