Clancy is a special girl who has had a miserable life and is hoping to find a special patient person to give her a chance. She was confiscated last year from a horrible hoarding situation where over 100 dogs, mostly doxies and doxie mixes, lived in horrific conditions. She spent her entire life in a filthy enclosure with her litter mates, several of whom died of starvation under the hoarder's "care". Her surviving siblings and all of the other dogs from the case were adopted or found rescues to take them long ago, but because of her shy and timid nature Clancy was left behind and spent most of her time hiding in the back of her cage at the shelter. She just arrived in foster care with us and is already starting to warm up, wag her tail, take treats and look for attention. She is a sweet gentle girl who doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body and loves other calm gentle dogs. She is looking for a very quiet adult home with another doggie friend and someone who will give her a chance to finally enjoy her life. She is about 5-6 years old, 35lbs and is spayed, updated on shots, and heartworm negative. Please email njwoof@cs.com if you are interested
We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.
