Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MURPHY - Hound mix, 7 months old, male, 50 lbs. Who wants to play? Murphy does! Will you please throw his basketball for him? Sure, it's half-deflated but he doesn't care, better for him to run around with. Murphy is an enthusiastic guy who wants to sniff all there is to sniff and meet everyone there is to meet because he is a happy, adventurous kind of guy. Murphy has great manners for a puppy, and an overgrown puppy is definitely what he is, but one with pretty good manners. He is house trained, crate trained and loves to chew on his squeaky ball or Nyla bone. He isn't perfect, but he's trying - Murphy is currently enrolled in a basic obedience class and is a very good student, but he is in need of a home that is going to exercise his body as well as his mind, one with a nice yard and maybe a playmate for him to get rough and tumble with. Murphy plays hard, but he loves hard too. And he loves a lot - people, playing, a stuffed Kong, long walks and being outside with his people. Cats are unknown but we suspect Murphy would not do well with them, as he is a boisterous and sniffy kind of guy. If you are interested in Murphy, please fill out an application through Peppertree and we will forward it to the owner.
** If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must first complete an adoption application at http://peppertree.org/adoptapp.php. Or visit our site (http://peppertree.org/adoptlist.php) and learn about other Peppertree dogs. *Note: visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
